Mission Update

heh... catchy title eh? anyway, the missions section is dated and buggy and heres some amazing ideas for absolutely free.

missions are great. you get to show people around your area, to find all those hidden nuggets, to tell a story... but the implementation in the game is basic at best.

idea 1, to have something in between the options of "view all and get in the way of what you are trying to look at" and "ahh forgot i was doing a mission"

the banner at the top should be redesigned so that the line icon is an arrow pointing right, and if you click in, the screen marker (the bat trail marker in this image) disappears, and the banner moves right, and the arrow turns into a left arrow. if the marker is off screen, then the little red triangle that points the way should move to the edge of the screen and operate like it used to in redacted.

this means that you can see the screen, you can see the paths, you know that you are still doing a mission, and it doesnt take 3 clicks (main circle button> missions> turn off "hide mission prompts" to see an overview of the portals next in line.

granted that tapping the marker does move it to the top right under the banner, but this isnt feasible to use in a portal dense area. losing 1/7 of your screen to banners is like some geocities website in '99

aborting a mission shouldn't really give you the option to up/down vote? comment maybe? voting does little to the mission imo. dropping a comment to the author for future revisions might be helpful.

doubling back, because the portals are in a shocking order gets a downvote from me, but nothing would ever come from it, except to annoy the next person who does the mission. at least some feedback would help future developments?

edit. I totally forgot how completely useless the in mission map is. doesn't show player position, and it'd be nice if when you clicked a number it would tell you which portal it was.
