Forums - Notification Categories Far Too Broad

When the forums were first introduced, there was no way to get notifications for new topics, unless you wanted notifications from everything.

The Wayfarer forums introduced the idea of notifications for new topics in specific categories.

The Ingress forums have introduced a similar functionality, but the problem is that the Ingress forums are far too broad compared to Wayfarer (and compared to what people would actually use).

e.g. I'd like to have the Bug category notify me of new topics, but I don't want the Event Support notifications.

With the current list of options, it's impossible to differentiate things in the 4 major categories, which doesn't really help enough.
