Resubmit of Missions failed - what to do?

Hello, last year i started a big Mission Banner (ingressmosaic id 21355). Then one of the creator accidently delete two of the Missions at Christmas 2018. Since then, we try to reanable the two missions - only to recive a deny after 2 Weeks or more waiting. The Image used is open for public use.

So what can we do to bring back online the two missing Missions again?

Try again, sometimes things need to be submitted multiple times to be accepted

Add a field trip point or a password. That's helped me get a mission published in the past (but, it's not a guarantee) .

The current mission approval process appears to be arbitrary and capricious. The mission submitted, the reasons given for rejection, and the published guidelines do not match, in many cases.

A few things you can do to help improve your chances:

    (1) look at each mission in a vacuum, without reference to the rest of the banner. Does the description talk about the portals or cultural content in that specific mission? Does the title include the name of the city or area? Is there boilerplate in the description that mentions where the banner starts and how the theme is relevant to the area where the mission is? (It can be really hard to fit all the required information into the description.)

    (2) if there are pass phrases, is it easy to figure them out, preferably by looking at the portal object or reading the Field Trip waypoint? Can you give a helpful hint?

    (3) are you *sure* that the image is in the public domain and free of faces, license plates, company names or logos, trademarked characters, and other problematic content?

    (4) it appears that rejected missions get stronger scrutiny than new submissions; some people have reported success by submitting a new mission with identical content, or by having a friend submit an identical mission.

Good luck. You are far from the only person frustrated by this process.

"The current mission approval process appears to be arbitrary and capricious." Here is a perfect example of that. Someone was submitting a banner mission and all but 2 made it through. They tried several tweaks but to no avail. Finally someone else submitted the missions and it passed. How does that make any sense?

  • There dosnt seem to be any logic behind the way they review our missions.. so its just a waiting game to See WHO is the more stubborn.. submit again and again and again

  • We are now 4 Agents that submit theese two Missions - with different Portals and with different Titles .. only the Mission Badge Image are the same. All denied. So some of us have 10+ of resubmit.. and then there is always the warning that you can be banned ftom mission creator tool.
