Vibration stopped working?

It appears lately that ingress and pokemon go combined, vibration is not working. I have the settings enabled, but nothing I do actually vibrates. My phone vibration does work with other apps, but not niantics.

Edit: on my samsung phone, I found that I have vibration intensity turned down for notifications, this fixed the apps. i cant delete my post or i would.
