2.55.1 Android 9 - Ingress logo screen before map load now black screen

So my overall boot time hasn't changed to getting to the map, however now instead of getting the ingress logo after the nianitc logo disappears and before the map loads, my screen is completely black for about 4-6 seconds, then it quickly flashes the ingress logo as the map loads.


I'd love it if the black screen time wasn't necessary at all, though I assume there's stuff going on in the background and the ingress logo was a placeholder for it before.

Intended operation?
