Deleting quotes from drafts

Unless I'm missing something glaringly obvious (more than likely!) I can't find a way to delete a quote from a draft post once it's been rendered by the system.
No way at all that I can see [on mobile] to delete that quoted post above, so I either have to accept it or delete the entire draft and start again.

You can go into your drafts and just delete the whole draft. That's what I did.
Yup, I could, and did.
The point is that I shouldn't have to.
What actually happened was that embedded 6 quotes in a post, exceeded the character limit, and then couldn't delete enough to be able to make the post to start with so had to delete and recreate because there was no way to delete any of them.
There is a bit of a bug where for whatever reason text of any kind can be locked into the draft... This includes quotes too. It's rather frustrating when it happens especially when you have a big post that gets wiped out because of it and then for whatever reason it trigger some kind of moderator review... And then you make another post to replace the one that ghosted, and then the moderator review post goes through and now you have a double post... And you can't delete either of them yet.
Wooooooo!!
On PC, its just backspace and it deletes the quote. Not sure on mobile as I've not tried it.
Useful to know 👍
Ooh! Just tried long-pressing the backspace button on mobile and it removed it!
So I had cause to try it, and chrome on my note9 doesn't allow any way to remove the quote that the lovely forum won't post from my draft. I've had to go to a PC to delete it and post the message without the quote.
Now how on earth do I mark this as answered?!
No freaking clue. Is that an admin permission only?
You have to start it as a question, not a discussion.
