I can't see my Ingress Account in Niantic Social.

When I sign up to Niantic Social in Pokémon GO, I must see all my Niantic Accounts but, My Ingress Account can't see it. What should I do to see my Ingress Account together with My Pokémon GO and Wizard Unite Accounts?

    I don't even know what Niantic Social is. Probably because I only play Ingress. ^^;;;

    And ingress is my favourite!!!!!!

Ingress currently isn't supporting Niantic Social, I believe. As Ingress isn't on the RWP either, it might take a while, if at all.

This info is shown only to your friends. The online status is togglable.

It wasn't showing my Ingress account initially but it is now.

Maybe it just took a little while for the data to sync.

It's for everyone. Probably Ingress isn't enabled yet

  • Looks like privacy issue. Linked accounts give away more information, as if there was not enough stalking already. Limiting it to friends would be good enough, if it was like that from the start. This feature should be opt-in on rollout.

  • Yet to roll out for Ingress.

It is limited to friends only. And you can turn it on and off.

  • This is a pretty worrisome feature, though I haven't seen a detailed description of how it works so I can't be sure. The "limited to friends" doesn't really help. People may be "friends" in Pogo but on opposite Ingress factions. They may not want some of their "friends" seeing their agent name or even knowing that they play Ingress. I'm not sure the on/off is working, but I also don't know what it is supposed to look like when it is off. Is there a webpage describing it?

It is nice, however, that they're promoting Ingress with it. Maybe it will get a few Pogo/HPWU players intrigued enough to download the game and start playing.

    log out pogo

    reboot ingress

    close ingress

    relog pogo

last played 2+ days seems to also mean a long time ago as i have uninstalled hpwu last year.

    Distance walked is pogo one.

Thank you very much for sharing this tips!

I could see Ingress account with Pogo account.

it seems Ingress Distance walked is not reflected though

It will only get a worrisome feature if they implement it in Ingress.

Everyone can open whatever agent his/her profile whenever they want by selecting it on a portal, resonator deployment, comm, agent ping, ... and i can imagine that some agents don't want others to know that they play(ed) PoGo...

  • If someone added random pogo "friends" from the internet, there was no disclaimer *oh by the way, in future they will see your ingress account, and will be able to track your home/work portal. Without a warning / option to disable.

Niantic Social creeps me out. I've set myself to be permanently Offline; hopefully, that's sufficient to keep friends in one game from seeing my information for other games. I've added people as friends in Pokemon Go for the sole purpose of being able to battle them in PvP tournaments. Why do they need to know that I play any other Niantic game?

(I can see my own Ingress info there. But I cannot see Ingress info for my immediate friends who play both games. So it seems to be halfway implemented.)

I think you'd only see the Ingress information of your friends if they did the workaround Khatre detailed above. At least that is how it appears to be happening based on discussions with Ingress friends who play Pokemon too.

All I know is that it doesn't show how many times you have Recursed. thus it incorrectly shows the current level

  • Hi everyone, thanks for reporting this. We've shared an update on displaying your Ingress codename to your Pokémon GO Friends via your Niantic Profile here: https://community.ingress.com/en/discussion/11494/ingress-codename-on-your-niantic-profile

In the meantime, you will not see your Ingress codename or Level, and Ingress will be listed in the "Other Niantic Games to Share" section.

  • Could it please be made to disable showing which games you play on a game by game basis?

Even if it doesn't show my Ingress Tag on there showing that I play Ingress at all will create more problems than you can imagine for me due to the toxicity in our area. You're endangering players by doing this. All it would take is one random PoGo friend who doesn't understand the complexity of Ingress sharing a Screenshot of my Niantic Social page showing I play Ingress at all & then suddenly all my work to keep seperate IDs & play each game in different areas at different times will be for nothing.
