Ingress does NOT work on iOS 14.0 public beta
It does not even launch. Please do not install 14.0 if you're not a developer or something requires it.
I installed it at my own risk.
Edit) ps. PoGo does not work as well. Seems they programmed not to launch when they encounter unidentified/un-supported OS?

Yep, they posted about it yesterday.
They posted about possibility. I am confirming that it doesn't work.

The thing is, it worked a single time. It startet relative fast and i was able to recharge a portal. But after using another app it crashes every time. But this means there is no fundamental problem.
We can't necessarily know whether there's some fundamental issue or not. Each major iOS release (when version numbers change eg. 12, 13, 14), there are API's that Apple depreciates, or modifies. There is no way to know until developers test and update their apps whether this could lead to an error that crashes the app, or a more subtle bug that takes some time to manifest... say after a few minutes or when the app tries to access some piece of hardware such as the camera. If you're running an app in an unsupported OS, it's down to luck whether you encounter any issues.
Hi from Korea
If your local is set to Korean, it crashes. In English, it sometimes works.
The point is, everyone is warned that it may not work. Devs do not have to ensure that their apps are working for the first beta OSs, or even the last. That's what beta releases are for: Devs, test and test. It is not for curious nerds shouting for the devs to say it is not working: they know it doesn't work.
Hi, seen your name several times in-game.
First, this has NOTHING to do with language settings. My device language was already been set to English before iOS 14, even before prime.
And I'm saying this NOT to inform devs but just to confirm the thing. If I were to, I would have been contacted SUPPORT, not complaining on forum.
And because I experienced similar thing before, in past-redacted-era, I knew it would not work, if I was just shortsighted 'curious nerd' - just as you did assume; why would I install the beta profile? I had things to do on. And again, as in the text, "I DID IT AT MY OWN RISK".
ᶫᶦᵗᵗᶫᵉ ᵗᶦᵖ : mind your words. please.
There is nothing fundamental. Prime startet two times and worked fine. Every other start ends immediately.
Obviously there is an issue... at least one that in your case took two restarts to manifest itself. 😉
That's the point of using beta software at your own risk. It might work fine for one person, and for someone else, not at all.
