Our original plan was to use a start portal in Zion National Park. The portal we chose was Angel's Landing, it's at the end of about a 4 mile hike with very significant elevation gain.
Here's the view from up there...
But then we got the email about portaal density and moved to nearby Hurricane, UT...
At the same time, one of our POCs was also in the McMurdo, Antarctica FS chat and as the weekend progressed and it began to look more and more like the passcode in Antarctica might not get solved, we began inviting refugees from McMurdo to submit their stats in Springdale in order to ensure they got a badge...
So we accepted photos and stat posts in our FS right up until Sunday night in Utah.
We got a few stragglers who posted after we'd already built our first photo collage...

And I am personally grateful for that.
The amount of agents who came in to help is something the Ingress community can be proud of.
We ended up cracking it on Monday but thank you again for helping those get a guaranteed badge.
