Missing portals in dronenet view
Summary of issue: (1) When I load dronenet, most of the time it only shows the closest 1 or 2 portals to my drone's current portal. Sometimes if I close dronenet, view one of the missing portals with a key, then go back to dronenet, the portals that were missing are visible again. (2) Sometimes when in dronenet, I click on a portal to view it then cancel that to go back to the original portal in dronenet, the portal I just clicked on is no longer visible inside dronenet. I don't know if it's memory issue with my device, but it's just a behavior I'm observing. (3) Also possibly related, sometimes the triangle "loading" logo spins continuously at the bottom of my scanner when in dronenet and when portals are missing from dronenet.
The scanner works as expected with no missing portals when not in dronenet.

I've found that portals won't appear from a certain distance, even though you can clearly see where fields all converge into the point where the portal should be. The distance range should be extended slightly so that portals can be seen in these instances.
I'm also experiencing this. I can can see some portals very far away from drone range, and one that is really close I couldn't see it. I had to restart drone view many times untill it finally appears.
Apparently the current behavior is based on cells within some minimum radius, but I've found that the behavior is inconsistent... especially if you've recently used the remote portal view in the vicinity using a key. What would make more sense is to set a radius (500m? 600m?) and simply cull out any portals not within that circle, irregardless of cell.
Ran into the issue of erratic portal visibility in Dronenet too... I successfully got my drone caught up in a portal with no other portal in range. Not even the one where it came from.
This makes flying in rural areas somewhat interesting. 😄
