Up to level 13 I got 3 or 4 Quantum capsules. I did several hack sessions to get the AP. Getting a Quatum was a great reward. Since last December, 4 Quantum capsules have been available by code...
Now the drone can hack any portal remotely. So what is the value of the Sojourner medal without moving to find a portal to hack!
If you don't want the quantum, don't redeem the code.
If you don't want to use the drone, just don't use it.
You do realize that you can recharge a portal to keep sojourner going, right? If not, you can add it to your list of things to get angry about.
Basically, what you're saying is that "things other people get / do that doesn't affect my gameplay affects my enjoyment of the game". Personally, I don't think these are major game changers. Does drone hacking / charging cheapen the Sojourner stats? Maybe. But think about it, Sojourner doesn't take into account whether I live in a remote area where I need to hike 3 miles (uphill both ways, in blinding snowstorm, without shoes) to the nearest portal, or live in a city where I can sneeze and hit 3 portals.
As for quantum capsules, they're nice to have, but not particularly valuable, in its current form. Tying up about 100 inventory slots for the chance of getting 1 very common item a day seems like poor use of inventory to me unless you're a very inactive player.
Don't get angry. Go out and enjoy playing the game instead - if your local government allows you to do so.

Who is stopping you from going outdoor?
It's not Niantic, that's for sure
