I've had brief periods of about 5-10 minutes where any action takes about 30 seconds, then everything goes back to normal for a bit. Quite annoying as I've build up a nice set of about 800 mostly level 1 resonators to charge every day from home.
Dear NIA... Can you finish testing/inform about starting. It passes 10 days from this announcment. Yesterday i lost like 30 mins of life, today you started testing when i used apex so it's wasted :/
You know - you're taking money for game now - it's not free, i understand you need to test things out - but you should inform us with few hours before about time window of server lagging/unaccessible. I want to subscribe but if you won't start serious communication with us and let us play i will just quit.
I have plans about going places to play ingress and now i never know if game will be working or not and some short time spans of access to some portals. And everything cost some money.
The pogo maintainence notice was issued a week or so before and we would greatly appreciate if we do get some notice for some latency interuptions with a timeframe so we can do9 other thimgs rather than be frustrated and lose time of our lives
why not just take down servers for x hours like most other games do when they need to fix things? a broken game that nobody can do anything is kinda pointless... the server testing has been ongoing issue for months, when will things be better and improved ?
Error loading profile yesterday evening. Opposing faction was clearing links, and succeeded because I could not even log into the game. So you spend hours with several agents preventing fields, only to have this happen and fail in doing so.
another agent traveled several hours today, to do some banner. Upon arrival the game doesn’t work. Fast forward three hours, agent went home and can still hardly play the game.
I suggest you guys over at @niantic start giving us a heads up; something like: “we are starting maintenance now, it will take x hours/minutes” in the app (no, not the telegram channel, the actual game. We know it’s possible, because shoutout nonsense was working fine); and have the game function normally after that. These week long maintenance windows in which the game works 80% of the time, is unacceptable in a game where planning, cooperation, travel and time are such huge factors in active gameplay.
Yeah - right now people are confused - cycle is ending, they are trying to destroy and build fields and it's just unfair. Almost same situation like 2 cycles ago - just this time is worst because people wasn't even informed. They planned some travels after work, used some money for gas and got ditched by NIA.
This is not the wway you should take. Communication, communication and communication once again. Prepare people for maintenance week before, 48hrs before, 24 hrs before and 2 hrs before. You want us to pay sub and you treat us like some forgotten garbage.
Tommorow FS is coming - do you even remeber about it?
This is ridiculous. You can push announcements about FS, but you can't push that the server is going to be basically non-existent? And Niantic wonders why more people don't play ingress...
Blocked in recurse time and a crimson apex because of the lag ... I had planned everything so as not to find myself L3 in the middle of the ENL in my area ... it's missed ... please PUSH THE RED BUTTON =)
Very nice:) Somebody attacks nearby Portals(three minutes by feet from me) and i can't recharge them because of this tests of backend. Why not turn off xmp for test time?
The heads up? You guys should be giving us heads up, not the other way around. You started maintenance that did not finish (the post up top still active, means maintenance is ongoing, although it’s silly to have maintenance from 26th of May all the way through to 5th of June) and we were seeing issues because of it. (Over the weekend, intel was acting up and yesterday evening the same errors we see now were there).
Does this mean it’s a separate issue? Was maintenance actually over but nobody bothered to update this post and disable the notification?
I would expect that during the issues yesterday evening, some alarms went off over at NIA headquarters and some devs went on to investigate, right? 🥺
I thought you previously stated that you have monitoring for the environments? I take it, it doesn't monitor the issues we are seeing? From others, it sounds like its been like this for a good 7+ hours. This worries me greatly for the overall outlook of Ingress itself. 😕
Ingress should now be running normally, and ready for Virtual First Saturday events this weekend. Please note that this was an unplanned server outage — not scheduled maintenance. Thank you for your patience while we worked to resolve the issue.
Where should we report such issues in future? This SERIOUS issue was active for over 7 hours before you even notice it. I think it's critical before you start subscription (and i'm REALLY waiting for it). But we - customers - need stable enviroment.
How can we work with you on communication and... are you planing to keep community forum more clean - like removing "ongoing" from pas events, informing on time schedules for us?

@NianticBrian @ace @NianticCasey - i'm not sure who of you is reading and responding for this stuff
Game is very unstable now cant deploy or fire even...
What is going on @NianticBrian

Are you guys testing now?
Hi. Test now?
Hooooboy... I thought I'm the only one having this latency issue until i come in here.
What is this?
nothing related to this topic...
You can talk about drones here: https://community.ingress.com/en/discussion/11022/dronenet-concerns-remote-interaction-with-portals
Sorry, they showed during the backend testing, so though they might be something they tried to add.
Game down again..
Q:How many months do you need to fix a server?
A: If you're Niantic, range between 4-12months. Any other company, a day or two.
Its almost like you don't want people to play Ingress.

How long will these issues be [Ongoing]?

What Jo0lz said, pls give us a headsup on maintenance. This is silly.
I agree with @mortuus. If you need to fix something you should take it out of ser so it can be fixed properly @NianticOfficial

Amazing that simply no one from Niantic can even respond to issues.
The lack of communication by Niantic is the usual, a sad state.
24 hours from First Saturday we have an unplayable game and no official communication about the problem.
Can't do anything....
Very nice:) Somebody attacks nearby Portals(three minutes by feet from me) and i can't recharge them because of this tests of backend. Why not turn off xmp for test time?
Investigating, thanks for the heads up.
