Doing one thing to get to L16

I was wondering how long it would take to exceed 40M AP by performing one specific action so I did the math. It's pretty pointless but still kind of fun to think about. BTW, these numbers would be lower if you factor in times when we get double AP.

14,220 links thrown that result in two fields

22,000 fill up empty portal with resonators and 2 mods

22,858 add 8 resonators to an empty portal

25,592 links thrown that make single field

33,362 destroy third from last resonator to take down corner of simple field

64,000 portals captured

80,000 frackers deployed

80,000 beacons deployed

106,667 deploy eighth resonator on portal

127,796 links thrown (without making fields)

213,904 links destroyed (that don't take down fields)

320,000 resonators deployed (just slots 2-7)

400,000 dirty hacks

533,334 resonators destroyed

615,385 resonators upgraded

Fun! Though these only count for recursed agents. I don't think you could get the badges you need even if you went with "22,000 fill up empty portal with resonators and 2 mods." You could get onyx pioneer that way but not builder, explorer, hacker (which is implicit in getting the gear), engineer, liberator. Wait, trekker and sojourner could count, and I guess recon could too.

For bonus points, calculate the number and cost of getting to 16 by deploying beacons and frackers. (-:

(I did the last 100K AP of my return to 16 by deploying 200 toast beacons in midtown Manhattan, then a friend of mine ran with my original idea... he recursed then got back to 8 with toast beacons.)

  • Excellent point on the badges. It's been so long since I had to chase badges for levels that that I completely forgot about them.

I added the beacon and fracker numbers, nice work with your beacon leveling :)
