Ingress slowdown over activity, iPhone X
So, I have an iPhone X, 256GB. Bought this thing brand new. Ingress, as it currently stands, while it's gotten a lot better, I've come to notice that over a period of time of playing, be it building, making fields, charging keys, so on and so forth, the app seems to slow down tremendously.
It gets to the point where the app's frame rate dive-bombs, and the iPhone actually starts to get warm. I'm confused because this type of behavior doesn't occur in any other game app I play.
Now, iPhone's aren't exactly known for their large amount of RAM, which is why I perform resets on a regular basis (including clearing out memory). I wonder if it's just the engine of the game and the way the game behaves?
I have to be a grave digger, but Redacted had this issue far less often. I want to know of any other iPhone user who's had this issue.

I haven’t had any serious framerate issues but my phone is a little warm right now. Maybe that’s because I was just charging it.
although it’s still warm. Well then again I do have the app running right now. (I pressed the community button to get here)
My iPhone gets warm regardless of whether I'm plugged into a power source or not, but only when running Ingress.
I play on a fairly old 1st gen iPhone SE (march 2016) with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory capacity. I do not have massive framerate drops, although the phone is getting warm. But then, idk how long your "period of time" is, I mostly play for max. 3hrs straight.
Happens within 30 minutes. Sometimes immediately.
