        <description><![CDATA[<p>Ingress needs some simple indicator that a portal has been visited, and that a portal has been captured.  Pogo does this neatly with a ring around a pokestop if you haven't visited.  A light ring on the ground around a portal would be suitable.  It would be slightly more complicated with Ingress since there would need to be two indications, but it would be simple enough to have two rings.  If you've just visited one ring disappears, if you've visited and captured then both disappear.</p><p>To me this should be a basic feature of the game, and I was surprised that it wasn't released with Prime.  But as it wasn't, I thought it would surely be released once the major Prime bugs were resolved.  Now there have been two major new features, portal scanning and dronenet, both of which are interesting additions to the game.  But isn't it time this basic feature is implemented?</p>]]>

Remember the position of portal on the screen.</p><p>2) Use (x) button to return to map view. Be careful to not tap more than needed.</p><p>3) Tap and hold the empty space of the previously remembered position of portal on the screen.</p><p>4) The quick hack menu of the viewed portal will appear. It shouldn't appear since there's an empty space on the map, and the actual portal a few kilometres from the agent, past visibility range.</p><p>Prime 2.53, Android 10.</p>]]>

<p>Summary of issue:</p><p>I (@fumiso) scanned a portal that no one was scanning and increased the Scout Controller count by 1. (1)</p><p><br /></p><p>I haven't received a Displaced notification for 36 days.</p><p><br /></p><p>On the 36th day my friend scanned and uploaded it on the spot.(2)</p><p>The scout controller before uploading is me.(count 1)</p><p><br /></p><p>My scanner received a Displaced notification when my friend uploaded it. (4)</p><p><br /></p><p>However, the Scout Controller display is displayed under the name of another Agent who is not my friend, and the friend's Scout Controller does not increased. <p>My limited experience tells me that the red and white image appears to be an iOS system error message of some sort.</p><p>The camera works as it should in the camera app as well as when making a portal nomination, so I think this problem is specific to portal scanning. I’ve tried reinstalling the Ingress app and power cycling the device, nothing changed. I’ve been unable to make any portal scans since this started happening. </p><p>I hoped it would be resolved without my input, but I haven’t seen anyone else talking about this.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>The current Septicycle list shows your current cell and the neighboring cells. </p><p>Drawing from Catan, would it be possible to allow us to keep upto 2 different cells of our own choosing in the Other Cells? Cells that aren't neighboring cells. </p><p>Reason being a lot of us do travel between places like home towns or current cities. And tend to be involved in cells that we may not be able to see when in the other. </p><p>Being able to check up on the players to say hi, especially ones that don't make it into the top 3 or who are new, could be very useful in keeping communities active.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Over the weekend, my **** and I went to a couple of difficult to reach, no reception portals, using a satallite device.</p><p>The first portal we captured, virused, recapped and threw a link without incident, the second one the capture was fine, but the every action after caused the scanner to crash. I noted that the time had just ticked over to 12pm Australian EST.</p><p>The scanner then refused to load the portal in question without completely crashing, and any action (hack, deploy) caused a crash.</p><p>Was there an update to the servers happening at the time? Never had so much trouble before. We tried again some 4 hours later with the same outcome.</p><p>I used a Galaxy S20, my **** has the most recent iPhone, both apps were up to date.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Help! S.O.S.! For 2 months now, my Drone has not been working. When I try to use the Drone, the message "Scanner communication error" flies across the screen. I have opened and re-opened 4 tickets and have received similar replies from "the team", "the dedicated team", "the development team", and "the Engineering team". I have been told that there are no restrictions applied to my account. I have been asked to reinstall Prime (which I did) and to check my wi-fi and data (a-okay for the latter two). With instructions from a Vanguard, I logged onto another player's device and my Drone still did not work. When the player logged onto my device with his account, his Drone DID work. So, I can assume that my device is not the problem. I am hoping that this Community Forum will be the place where someone will finally be able to solve my Drone issue.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>This happens very often and hasn't been fixed since at least Umbra anomaly.</p><p>On the screenshot you can see a few <strong>neutral</strong> portals which look like they have resonators deployed on them (of course they don't since they're neutral).         <description><![CDATA[<p>Summary of issue: Portal scans being blue-tinted</p><p>Device: Poco X3 NFC</p><p>OS: Android 10 (MIUI Global 12.0.2)</p><p>App version: 2.59.2</p><p>Details:</p><p>Recently got a new Poco X3 phone and tried out portal scanning. Two portals that I've tried to scan appeared normal in the video while scanning, but the confirmation shows every frame being blue-tinted and having the reds and oranges converted to blue.</p><p>For one of those, rescanning it worked. For the second, the same blue tint appeared on every attempt. Both were scanned during the day and there should have been ample lighting for this.</p><p>I've also had some scans work just fine on the first try, so it's not occurring consistently on every portal.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>In the two years or so since Prime launched, I've always complained about the bug when scrolling comms that makes the feed snap back to the beginning, causing you to lose your place in the feed. I couldn't imagine how hard it could possibly be to fix such a simple issue and I never thought it could be anymore broken than it already was. And then I guess somebody tried to fix it and proved me wrong. Now every time I open comms, it starts me at the very top of the feed (i.e. the complete opposite of most recent), causing me to have to scroll through the entire feed just to see most recent activity. This wouldn't be as much of a problem due to the previously mentioned bug of the feed snapping back to most recent, as I could just wait until it triggers to bring me there, but nope, now it snaps you to the TOP of the feed. Amazing. Can't wait until 2022 for this one to be patched.</p>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>I am one of those people who always uses sound in games.  Some games, you can literally do parts with your eyes closed because of the soundscape.</p><p>For a long time, Ingress was one of these.  I'll start with two key points of the Classic scanner and then discuss Prime.</p><p><strong>Classic Scanner</strong></p><p>a. Combat damage - There are actually 5 different sounds for a Resonator taking damage.</p><ul><li>1% or less</li><li>up to 5%</li><li>up to 25%</li><li>above 25%</li><li>the resonator exploding.</li></ul><p>With these, you can do things like fire bursters without having to watch for damage to know how well you're doing. You can walk down the street secret agent style, with your phone in your pocket, headphones on, blowing up a farm without needing to see that you're succeeding or not.</p><p>b. Relative silence - Another key thing about the Classic scanner is relative silence when not acting.  If you turn off the background noise and do nothing, you hear nothing.  Tap a portal and you hear a beep, but then you continue to hear nothing while looking at the portal.  This is significant in the age of wireless, battery powered headphones.  If I'm walking towards a portal in the distance, I usually would simply open the portal on the screen, put away my phone, then walk towards it until the scanner says "Portal in Range" at which point I pull out my phone again.  In the intervening period I can listen to music, or talk with friends, etc.</p><p><strong>Prime Scanner</strong></p><p>The greatest problem with the Prime Scanner's soundscape is the "noise".  Using the analogy of signal to noise ratio, the noise for the scanner is extremely high and unavoidable.  There are so many unnecessary and uninformative sounds cluttering up the soundscape, and they are not separated out into a band that can be disabled, without losing all sound.</p><p>a. Screaming in portals - Particularly annoying with ENL P8s, but also with RES P8s to some extent, simply having the portal open, floods the soundscape with ADA and Jarvis.  Jarvis is so noisy to the point where you often can't hear music over his ranting.  No-one needs to hear how he's not dead, all day every day.  It's background noise that only the most lore-encased players want to hear.  I don't select portals and walk to them any more because P8s are a screamfest for far too long.  I also can't navigate in game to the portal, so I can't use that method to know when I've arrived.  Additionally the crackling noise of the portal is just as unnecessary and should be moved.</p><p>b. External activities - I don't know the number of times I've heard "Link detected" and "Field detected" with no idea where on earth it happened.  Once I opened up the map to find out that the link I 'detected' was more than 2km's away at its closest point.  Four times what the scanner can show me.  There is no way I could even <em>see</em> the link let alone do something about it in the moment.  That was annoying, but not so bad.  However, yesterday I did an entire Mission Day on Prime and discovered that not only was the nearby attack sounds saturating, but there was no way aside from turning off all sounds, to get rid of it.  Playing with headphones, I was 'assaulted' with portal explosions and noise for nearly 3 hours while doing Missions, because everyone else was doing missions and the portals were flipping back and forth constantly.</p><p>c. Attacks - I can't yet confirm that there's actual information in the attack noises beyond the 1% vs anything else, but I'm yet to hear it if it is.  I regularly fail to hear mods popping either because the sound is truncated because of everything else, or it simply is too heavily covered up by all the noise.</p><p>d. Scanner Sweep and Background Hum - This is also one of the most annoying examples of unnecessary noise.  The constant background noise (while Background is off) means that wireless headphones are constantly on, and a run time of 12-15 hours is cut down to its minimum of 5-6 hours.  Often I will play without music and just the Ingress sounds on, usually because I'm talking to others.  The constant noise of the scanner pulse and the background "dum dum" every few seconds makes me either turn sound off completely, or turn down my headphones to the point that useful noises are far too quiet.</p><p>It's clear that no developer has ever left the client open with headphones on (sitting on the table beside you doesn't count), while the Background channel is on.  It literally would drive you insane, like a Guantanamo Bay prisoner torture.  It's also clear that developers haven't embraced the soundscape of Classic and its very good Signal to Noise ratio.</p><p><strong>Suggestions</strong></p><p>Either create a "flavor" channel, or move the majority of non-interactive sounds to Background.  </p><ul><li>Scanner sweep and background hum - This <em>must</em> go to background.  It is literally the background noise of the game.  Turning on the Background channel simply amps up the amount of static.  Turning it off does <em>NOT</em> remove the background noises.</li><li>Portal attacks and external changes on the game field, both the voice and the sounds of attack, need to be moved to a combat sound channel.  It's sometimes useful and in many cases would be left on, but at times, it makes audio impossible to use (e.g. mission days).</li><li>The portal screaming needs to either be removed completely, or moved to Background.  It does not provide any useful information and actively prevents Agents from playing in an efficient manner.</li></ul><p>I'm sure other people can add more in the comments, but the logic here is that we should be able to configure our soundscape so that we hear</p><ul><li>Only voice associated with our actions.</li><li>Only sounds associated with our actions.</li><li>Silence when we're not doing anything, without completely disabling sounds.</li></ul>]]>

        <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Dear Niantic</strong></p><p>I would like to report a huge incident that happened to me today</p><p><strong>Prime ver</strong> 2.58.1-8bd4a610</p><p><strong>Mail account: </strong>alfiem@live.se</p><p><strong>Agent-ID</strong>: Alfino1066 level 15</p><p><strong>OS: </strong>Android 10 on a Samsung S20 phone </p><p>Links to portals can be provided upon request since I am not allowed to post them here.</p><p>Today the 17’th of november approximately 15:15 CET I was glyphing the portal Skå Kyrka for keys </p><p>When I was finished glyphing I was going to put the keys in a quantum capsule when I realized that all my capsules, except one quantum and one regular, was gone. This shocked me and there and then I almost wanted to quit playing Ingress altogether. This happened without me doing anything. After the fact I also tried restarting ingress to see if there was some temporary glitch or not but the problem is still there.</p><p>During the time I was hacking the portal Prime hang 3 times and I had to restart, the last time I also cleared the cache and data.</p><p>I demand that you restore my missing inventory items. This should be pretty straight forward from the data you have on the server.</p><p>Before I started to hack I had about 1750-1800 items in my inventory.</p><p>Below I will try to describe what is missing. This is defined as well as I can remember but it is impossible to remember all the details. I named all capsules so I could know what was stored in them.         <title>[Feature Request] Disable touchscreen input in Battery Save mode</title>

        <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello Niantic,</p><p>I wanted to ask if it's possible to disable the touch input, or the registration of action when the app is in "Battery Save" mode.</p><p>Right now it's just a screensaver, instead of a mode, since the game still registers all inputs given with the screen "blacked out" (causing missclicks and action not wanted while active).</p><p>i wanted to know if a modification like this can happen, or the mode works as intended.</p>]]>

<p>On multiple occasions recently the region score will not show in Prime.</p><p>After a while it seems to fix itself only to break again later 🙁</p>]]>
