Re: Would you scan a neutral portal to convert it to Machina?
No No No No No Machina needs to be nerfed, not helped.
Would you scan a neutral portal to convert it to Machina?
We have rare battle beacons and frackers if enough scans are submitted for a portal in a cycle. What do you think about a neutral portal being converted to a Machina portal after a certain number of scans are submitted in a cycle?

Re: Key duplication was suspended, when will it come back?
Hi Niantic,
I totally agree with Disturbinator. With the decommisioning of the quantum capsules and the insurrection of Machina it has become almost become impossible to create a BAF. The opposing team can very easily see what is happening and act accordingly.
In the old days before Machina and the disappearing of QC, Ingress was a lively community. Nowadays you have to be luckily if you can get 3 or 4 agents together for a small BAF of 40k MU per field. Before we would do BAF's with 15 or more agents and the smallest field would be 100k MU per field.
Also in the old days you could not link/field under an existing field. This is now possible so I see no more problems for the casual players who like to make microfields.
I hope we can get some answers about the issues mentioned above.
Cheers,
Agent TinyTinus1975
Machina Portals should have a 7 Day decay after hitting level 8.
Otherwise we will be stuck with permanent Machina Links when two portals behind separate private community gates link together and cause unbreakable lane closures. I can't wait outside every gate waiting to sneak in some place I don't belong just to **** a portal
Re: Machina is just killing player engagement.
Machina is once again destroying the motivation of players in my community. For those who just grind away in cities it's probably alright, but for those of us who play differently, like going to rural areas and off the beaten path and try to make big fields happen, Machina is the absolute **** knell.
Please, please: If you want this game to survive, AI-generated links CANNOT block human links.
Re: Machina is just killing player engagement.
So, why don't you go there to clear it?
Here's New Delhi for you.... tell me that this is not a problem.
Rome:
Milan
and zoomed out to 2.5km link visibility
London at 300m
London 800m
2.5km
Re: Machina is just killing player engagement.
A TOTAL lack of players however, means there is no PVE. It's just Machina taking over towns. With no decay, it takes over.
There will NEVER be enough players to control Machina. In places with few agents, it also becomes a problem as they cannot keep up with controlling it. Players eventually give up trying, and then you have an infestation that is out of control.
I don't think there will ever be a balance here that will work on a global scale. If Machina doesn't decay, it will overwhelm the map. If Machina does decay, it will need to have a significant cooldown before spawning again.
Re: You are losing control over the red link part 2
Machina is destroying my community. People can't really do the things they like anymore, meaning fielding. Here, every town is surrounded by forests and mountains littered with portals that are essentially spoofed at any time by the AI. In order to keep up, we'd have to be constantly hiking and keeping all portals blue or green, or the bot completely takes over. And before you say that we're lazy, I doubt there are many players anywhere, at all, who hike mountains more than we do here. But it's completely overwhelming, and makes it impossible to do anything but city-based microfielding.
game interactions blockade
This is more a general bug report about ingress scanner behavior. Since some days actions like set/upgrade a resonator, recharge, deploy mod etc lead to up to minute long blockade of the scanner.
This will be fun to play an anomaly at the weekend :)
