Re: MACHINA ruined my game
You know people play differently, right? I bet if I look at St Louis there's machina and does that mean you weren't active? Does the amount of gameplay negate their opinion?
It's hilarious that any amount of positivity is seen as being a Niantic fanboy. I know the company has issues but being constantly negative does no good for anyone and I don't have the time and energy to be petty towards a company that isn't going to see that anyways. I come to these forums in a neutral space to invoke some thoughts and open to different POVs but damn do I really not enjoy swinging at other agents on here. I know others have the same unrequited enjoyment for this game and it seems so easy for the mentality switch to toxicity.
Worry about yourself. That's what you should be focused on instead of trying to negate anyone else with some thoughts that might not be aligned to yours.
For the record, you have silver reclaimer so it's not stopping you from playing. I have no idea what you have wings on because your profile is private. 619 million AP though.
Re: C.O.R.E. Subscription Price Change [Discussion]
I cancelled my subscription about nine months ago in protest at the repeated downgrading of the swag package that accompanied the subscription. I still have 22,500 CMU that I cannot use because I find nothing in the store worth buying. Only the key lockers, and I already have them. If there were the option to buy more key lockers, or increase their capacity, I would be all over it like a shot, but a quadrupling of something of which I already have too much and nothing on which to spend it? Nah.
Re: C.O.R.E. Subscription Price Change [Discussion]
According to what is the amount converted into other currencies?
Now:
1 USD = 4.06 PLN
7.99 USD = 32.44 PLN
Next CORE charge 44.99 PLN = 11,08 USD
WHERE IS MY 3 USD?
Re: C.O.R.E. Subscription Price Change [Discussion]
Raises research:
+54% in CZK
+60% in USD
+62% in AUD
+82% in EUR
+87% in PLN
WTF? Poland is premium country?
Re: MACHINA ruined my game
Machina ruined my game because no big boring field. I wonder how many people got their game ruined in the past by an big field above their heads that made linking impossible back in the days...
Re: MACHINA ruined my game
On balance I’d say I dislike Machina.
Some Pros:
Something new to do
Can encourage and reward exploring places outside one’s normal play
Can be used in a way for devious gameplay
Distracts compulsive players
Some Cons:
Can effortlessly originate and spawn between hard or potentially impossible portals
Disincents trying to do solo or group fielding ops as now there’s a whole lot more prep and random chance of non-player ruining the op
There is not really any motivation to smash it when passing by, because the reward goes to a random for claiming it or nobody at all
The days of “yes!” long shiggles are over with Machina around
The worst of the above being that it could almost end team ops
Re: You are losing control over the red link part 2
Unfortunately in big cities, it has become unplayable due to the many machina portals, large control fields cannot be planned. Players dwindle as they lose interest and those few remaining try with limited success due to new machina-generated links from not beating those few surviving portals. I certainly don't find it right, I much prefer the old team game!
Re: You are losing control over the red link part 2
it will end like last time: the red will be unmanageable and niantic will take everything away, as i see it, he is killing the game and that's it
Re: MACHINA ruined my game
Start with a small field and clear/create bigger fields on top.
Re: MACHINA ruined my game
I think that’s what Brian/Niantic have been trying to figure out for the past 2-4 years. Me, personally, I think the ship has sailed unfortunately. He’s definitely trying, but machina isn’t it and I don’t think anomalies I have to travel to attend are it either. Global events that challenge folks and daily tasks would be a step in the right direction, but we’re not getting one and the other is proving to be too difficult to deploy.
