Re: Broken ingress account
Still no answers, no contact, no changes of fixed to my account.
Should I go play and recover the account on my own? I'll need a boat. And a vehicle. And somehow figure out how to get access to Windward Waypoint in Cuba.
Re: Broken ingress account
Well it's now been a month since this fiasco began and no new updates since the "restoration."
Take note community, they can do this to you too without warning or explanation.
Re: Broken ingress account
No new updates or communication from Ingress/Niantic about this issue. Seems like I'll be in ingress purgatory til who knows when. I've missed multiple Tuesdays, 1 first Saturday and one second Sunday so far. I guess this will be the new game.
Re: wrong BAN
There's very few legitimate players left and they are leaving too. Ingress may be popular in some areas but overall it's not what it used to be. The bad actors have ruined it for everyone. But considering it was one of the first augmented reality games you have to expect some flaws. The game mechanics favor those with more numbers. It's never been a level playing field. It's like playing chess with a queen and a bishop against an opponent with every single piece. And one opponent can keep creating new pieces to help bolster their side. Rules don't matter to some and there is no enforcement mechanism to combat the bad actors. It's a great concept for a game but too many exploits to consider it fair.
Re: wrong BAN
Is does grate knowing that there are 'players' (a term I use loosely) out there who are blatantly cheating, spoofing and backpacking with more than one account, yet nothing is dine to rid them from the game.
Yet someone who plays the game by the rules can easily be banned.
It is little wonder why people get annoyed with the management of this game...
Re: Maybe we should let the greatest of games quietly go to another world?
Why are they not doing anything to increase the playerbase?
Re: [Social Media Announcement]: #CrypticMemories has concluded
They posted on their website. None of the announcements are posted here any more, because it's not for the community to care.
Re: Maybe we should let the greatest of games quietly go to another world?
It would go a LONG way to warming the souls of old salty IFU dogs if niantic would show ANY effort at managing and improving relations with the Ingress community. Something besides making cookie cutter anomalies or MDs.
If this has occurred and I missed it, please advise.
When was the last AMA?
Re: Maybe we should let the greatest of games quietly go to another world?
There are two types of players in my area. Those that have no jobs and Ingress is their life and those that play while going to work or coming home. There's no community left and no team based play anywhere. The no lifers follow people around until they quit playing. Essentially ruining the game for everyone except themselves. No such thing as cross faction gameplay because of them. So is Ingress dead? Almost. There's a handful of aggressive players that ruined it for a lot of people. Just the nature of a game in it's mature stage. Will it get better? I believe that ship has sailed.
