Re: Dear Niantic - Being threatened with violence on the forums
This is the problem. It’s story time for you two. You each have some story about how you’re being harassed. What is Niantic to do? If I were Niantic, I’d just ban you both for not handling this like adults. If you’re scared, call the police.
Had to deal with someone like this who STILL plays with 3-4 accounts. Caught him red-handed playing in a park and he called the police saying he was being harassed, haha. The guy legit may have multiple personality disorder for all I know. But it’s funny how there is always more to these stories than what’s shared here.
Scanner does not enforce location services in portal view
when you deactivate the location services from the Android status menu, the scanner immediately pop ups a message from the map view to reactivate them before any other action is possible.
This behaviour is missing in the portal view. So if one opens a portal and then decativates the location services the agent is able to interact with the portal, upgrade, hack, mod, link the portal or even leave the portal view, flip or destroy that portal and capture it, while moving on, even at high speed, e.g. in a car or train.
(after some timeout a "no location" message pops up, and enforces reactivating location services)
For me that is some kind of location spoofing and I suspect it is used by some agents in my area to interact with portals - usually destroy/capture them - while going by train.
Please fix that and make sure the Ingress scanner is not able to do any actions when location services are off.
Every agent who reads this: Don't use it! It's unfair and destroys our game.

Re: Agent Ops initial review
I do hope they reconsider and bring comm back to the main screen. It's very handy to keep tabs on what's happening without going to the comm screen.
Сurrent situation with large fields.
Ingress has always been a game that forced to show intelligence. But lately I've encountered a negative phenomenon that has begun to spoil the game. These are big fields and players who play only for them. Periodically, I see agents (including on this forum) who like to cover with one proven scheme, and do almost nothing else. They really don't like machine because it overrides their traditional linking schemes. they really do not like the fact that now you can link under the fields, as this does not give them the opportunity to assert themselves and dominate. Previously, in some regions it was impossible to play at all because fields the size of a third of the African continent hung for months, but now the situation has begun to change for the better. For example, a machine has appeared that makes you think over new game strategies. But now, here and there, the cries of lovers of huge fields, who do not like all the latest changes, have become visible. On this, let's discuss the current situation with large fields.

Re: Camp Navarro portal removed due to ignorance of Wayfarer team
Thank you thank you thank youuuuu

Re: Don't take my Machina Away!
Yeah, was having fun with Machina's presence and making good progress on Purifier. Now it's not worth exploring new areas since there's nothing there to do.
Machina needs to be balanced, I loved how it was before (and wished it would be even more aggressive since it was so slow), but can see the points from other people. A valid balance is needed, limit or remove cross-links and make it form clusters and grow out (like a real infection). Maybe one day Niantic will get it right lol
Here are my stats if it helps:

Re: We need stronger teeth in combating players engaged in bullying and harassing behavior
Lance. You are attacking the main copenhagen MU makers. It is all off coppenhagen that help with providing items for that team. People even show up for removing links.
I still don't get it. You want them to not make the MU, you go directly for those fields. Of course they will try to fatigue you. The team I am with is attacking the big bloobs. Some of us are just more focused on task. That how we play. We invest our time towards winning the cycles. Are you in the way of that you will be targeted. It is not a bully tactic it is simply moving toward the goals of winning the cycle. If you don't like to be targeted don't try to win. Just go mission's or find unique portals or other "casual" playstyles. And you will drop of the radar.

Re: We need stronger teeth in combating players engaged in bullying and harassing behavior
You are being outplayed...
The game consists of trying to have as much as possible belonging to your own faction and as little as possible to your opponent...
What they are doing is strategical...

Dear Niantic - Being threatened with violence on the forums
This is a message that hopefully reaches Niantic.
I am making this post, because another agent has called out "harassment" on your forums.
This agent has directed this post towards me.
In his post, he publicly states that he is at a brink of using violence against other agents, which is me. This was done one hour before he yesterday sprinted towards me full speed, screaming at me that he wants to know why I am "harassing him".
I find this very intimidating, especially because, as you can see in my reports against the player - that in the past couple of weeks, he stands outside my apartment building for an hour at a time, trying to intimidate me from continuing to play the game, and has also followed me all the way to the backdoor entrance of my apartment building when I have walked home with groceries.
I see the statement in his post as a threat towards me in real life. Yesterday I filed a police report against him for full-on sprinting towards me and screaming at me.
And now I see that he made a post on the forums before he charged me, where he clearly states that anything can happen if he meets me out in the playing field. Which I have also screenshotted and am thinking about sending to the police.
Please do something about this. This is not the way Ingress is meant to be played. I should not have to look over my shoulder when playing Ingress.
